HR Generalist

The HR “Talent” team at BBH acts as the front-line for any employee related matters and questions. Our team focuses on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, training & development and other various talent and culture initiatives. This is the perfect role for someone who has a passion for HR and is looking to grow in their career.  The HR/Talent Generalist will partner with the Head of Talent and CFO to deliver high quality HR service within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization. This role will also help support our Los Angeles office.

Key Responsibilities

Employee On-boarding

  • Manage all necessary paperwork for New Employees
  • Prepare New Hire orientation materials and conduct day one onboarding
  • Set Up New Hires into Staff Systems (PTalent, Service Now, Altair)
  • Follow up with New Hires within first three months



  • Prepare all semi-monthly payroll and bonus processing through PTalent
  • Serve as liaison between Payroll Shared Services and BBH to update any and all payroll records
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting
  • Partner with Finance & hiring managers to accurately track freelancers in payroll
  • On-site resource to answer all employee payroll questions

HR Systems

  • Maintain Publicis HR system, updating for all changes in employee status
  • Be up to date on all Publicis system requirements and updates
  • Systems: PTalent, ServiceNow, PSHR, Altair, Greenhouse and Performance Management tools


  • On-site assist employees with benefit questions/needs or help them connect with Publicis contacts
  • Advise employees of 401K participation eligibility upon completion of probationary period
  • Serve as liaison between Benefits Shared Services and BBH to update any and all payroll records
  • Establish and Maintain BBH HR and T&E policies in conjunction with Parent company policies.
  • Current on all Federal, State and Local laws at the NY & California Level


  • Partner with Head of Talent to develop BBH Recruitment best practices
  • Coordinate all in-house interviews
  • Manage & Maintain recruitment database- Greenhouse
  • Screen resumes and candidates as first step in recruitment process
  • Coordinate all VISA- related hires, including New hires, renewals, ad hoc requests through partnering with Visa vendor

Employee Relations & HR Duties

  • Work closely with management on any employee-relations issues
  • Partner with legal to confirm compliance with employment law
  • Serve as HR subject matter expert for the team and partner with Management to help guide any employee-related decisions

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Manage all Volunteer Opportunities
  • Partner with Finance to track and monitor Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
  • Recruit, Manage & Maintain BBH BARN Summer Internship program
  • Work closely with office services for any ad hoc request
  • Manage HR Budgets Relocation, Visas, Recruitment and Training
  • Day-to-day decision making of ad hoc HR/Talent requests or inquiries

Skills/Experience Required


  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other related field required
  • 3+ years experience in an HR/Talent environment
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Experience managing highly confidential data
  • Ability to handle multiple high-detailed projects
  • Work autonomously and with a team
  • High level of knowledge of federal, state, and local law
